Introductory/Advanced Graphics Sessions

Daniel C. Solis, MS Sign & Graphics Guru and SLOMA Exhibit Technician,
will conduct a Graphics Class wherein the: First Hour will cover the basic operation of our Graphics Equipment, specifically the Vinyl Plotters, the Digital Printer and the Heat Transfer Press– AKA the “3P’s”.

As well, a primer on preparing designs and files for the Laser Cutter and the CNC Router will also be covered. The First Hour is Mandatory in order to be Certified to operate said Graphics Equipment.

The Second Hour will be dedicated to specific project assistance, Advanced Graphics subjects such as:
Sign Making, Graphic Design Principles, Illustration Techniques, Art Theory and History, T-Shirt/Textile Graphics Production, and General Graphics Topics which will be determined by Attendees needs or wishes for what is to be covered.

Likewise, the Instructor will be encouraging Attendees to produce Artwork, Graphics, Textiles etc. to be displayed at SLO MakerSpace, as well as be work which can be sold.

Moreover, the Instructor will be promoting involvement in the overall SLO Arts Community, including relationships with SLOMA, The History Center of SLO, Arts Obispo, and The Hearst Foundation among others.
