Cubicle Rental

$150.00 / month

Cubicles may be rented at SLO MakerSpace for $150/month, which does NOT include membership (you must purchase that separately, in addition to the cubicle rental). Cubicles are paid for with monthly auto-recurring online payments which can be cancelled at any time from your account. We do not accept cash or checks for cubicles. Your cubicle will be available to you as soon as you purchase it, and payments will be processed each month on the same date of the original purchase.

As with all members, you must first take the free Basic Safety Class in order to get an RFID badge, access your cubicle, and use SLO MakerSpace’s facility. All clients / business visitors must sign a liability agreement, available at the main door, to be in the space as your guest. Guests may not use any portion of SLO MakerSpace tools or equipment. Additionally, guests cannot be your second buddy in the shop while you work. Only Basic Safety trained members can be your buddy in the shop.

NOTE: Before purchasing a cubicle, you must verify that we have cubicle space available. Email contact@slomakerspace.com to inquire about available space. Also note: cubicles do not include computers – they are empty and you can put whatever you want in them.

To utilize the SLO MakerSpace facility, each person must sign The Fine Print and take our Basic Safety Class (free with membership). Your membership will begin the day you purchase it and can be cancelled at anytime from Your Account. After your Basic Safety Class, you will be issued an RFID badge that let’s you enter the building 24-7. As a safety precaution, we have a strict buddy system rule for all members: There must be at least one other person in the facility in order to use any tools or equipment. No working alone!

Our facility is divided into two areas for safety and cleanliness: the WorkSpace and the Shop. The WorkSpace is for smaller projects that do not require the use of heavy machinery, thus it is safe for kids of all ages to access. Kids under 16 years of age can access the WorkSpace for free, but must be supervised on a 1-to-1 ratio by an adult with a membership at all times. The Shop is where the heavier, more traditional equipment resides. For this reason, you must be 18 years of age or older to use the Shop.

Note: The CNC RouterLaser Cutter3D PrintersWeldersOxy-Acetylene Torch, Lampworking and Sherline CNC Mini Mill require an additional 1 to 2 hour certification course to use – please check their listings or our calendar for class times and prices.
